In July I will be in Broken Hill for a Presidents breakfast, and I am looking forward to it immensely.
We are in Broken Hill doing a Technical evening followed by the breakfast the next morning.
This brings me onto the topic of my article, I would like to do more of these type events in regional NSW, not only does it give me an opportunity to meet our Members, but also an opportunity to provide technical information to our members.

As members you need to provide input into what type of technical information is required. You may be aware over the past few years I have been doing Technical Brake seminars, but we need to provide the information you require.
MTAA Super has been doing information nights on investing in your future, which have been a great success, and well received by our members. We have also done briefing sessions on Payroll / OH&S through our Employment Relations department also very well attended.
Green Stamp environmental checks for your workshop are another service we are providing for our members. We will come into your workshop and advise where you may be able to become more environmentally friendly and cut costs as well. This is a great way of ensuring your business is compliant with environmental regulations.
This is your association; and we provide numerous amounts of services which are available to you as members. There is also a social side to your association providing the opportunity for great networking with your industry peers.
The fun filled events have consisted of a golf day at Camden Lakeside which was a sensational day, regional race days which again bring us and our country cousins together. The kart day at Eastern Creek was fabulous except I got my ability confused with my aspirations and lost it on a turn and got cleaned up, resulting in three cracked ribs. (All fun, but boys will be boys).
There are still a number of events happening, such as golf days at Central Coast & Bankstown. Three more regional race days at Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Bathurst and locally Rosehill.
The Grand Finale is the Motor industries night of nights being the MTA Gala Awards night to be held at the Hilton Hotel Sydney, recognising outstanding efforts in our industry. So get involved in your Association and you will receive more out of it.
Talk with your MTA representative, and let him know if you think a technical evening or a President breakfast, will be well received in your region. We are more than happy to try and accommodate where possible.
