How to obtain an Automotive Air Conditioning Licence
How to Get a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trainee Licence
As hi-lighted with the list the compulsory units of competence above, the license and hence the training covers all areas in relation to Air Conditioning and as such when it comes to other sectors of the Automotive Industry such as Panel, Paint and Parts Recyclers there may exist a possible need for a restricted or partial license. To date the Parts Recyclers are investigating the framework for a restricted license to meet their needs.
The Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts are aware of the potential merits of allowing a restricted gas handling licence being made available in some sectors under the provisions of this regulation, and in this regard has undertaken informed preliminary discussions with APRAA about adopting such measures.
MTA NSW on behalf of the Panel & Paint sector has communicated the concerns of this sector and their particular interaction with Air Conditioning to the Department and are awaiting resolution or direction.
