Notice of 99th MTA Annual General Meeting
 
         
 
Notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of the Motor Traders’ Association of New South Wales will be held on Friday March 27, 2009.
 
     
 

The meeting will be held at the Medina Executive Sydney Central, 2 Lee Street Haymarket, commencing at 9:00am.

Located between Sydney's major bus and rail interchanges at the southern end of Sydney CBD.


Sydney airport is only 8km away by Airport Rail Link

No notice motion in relation to any special business to be considered by the Annual General Meeting has been received by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with Rule 22 (2) of the MTA Constitution and Rules.

Members attending the Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting (referred to in the notice below) are invited to attend a meeting of the MTA Governing Council which will be held after the AGM. Members are also invited to attend a luncheon at the conclusion of the proceedings.

It is essential that members wishing to attend the meeting and/or the luncheon indicate their intentions so that the appropriate accommodations and catering arrangements can be made.

Notice of Special General Meeting

A Special General Meeting of the Association will be held on Friday 27 March, 2009 immediately following the AGM which commences at 9:30am at the Medina Executive Sydney Central.

Business to be conducted arises out of December 2008 Governing Council meeting resolutions to amend the Rules of the Association and will be as follows:

Item 1: That Rule 37 - Trustees, and Rule 38 - Duties and Powers of Trustees be deleted. Other consequential amendments to the Rules occur to reflect this change.

Item 2: Removal of now redundant provisions associated with the transition from Executive Director to Chief Executive Officer.

Item 3: Typographical errors that have occurred throughout the rules be identified and rectified.
