MTA NSW announces expansion of their on the job delivery of apprentice training.

After successfully tendering with the Department of Education and Training NSW, MTA NSW has been granted to opportunity to expand its’ light vehicle mechanic apprentice training of Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) AUR30405, into the North Coast region of NSW.

Areas in which delivery can take place include the north coast from Taree to Yamba. MTA NSW’s district manager for this region, Murrae Davis, will be visiting members in the coming months to talk to them about the benefits MTA NSW’s apprentice training program can offer.

As well as this MTA NSW has expanded its’ current apprenticeship delivery in Metro Sydney, Lower Hunter, Newcastle and Illawarra, to also include heavy vehicle mechanics , panel beating and vehicle painting. This will give many more automotive businesses the opportunity to gain the benefits from using MTA NSW’s apprentice training program.

MTA NSW is very excited to be able to provide further opportunities to its members through this expansion and is looking forward to working with its members to deliver training in the coming years.

MTA NSW apprentice training program brings the training to the workplace. Apprentices are visited by MTA NSW’s qualified and experienced trainers/assessors every 4 weeks. They are provided with monitoring and one on one training, as well as providing guidance and support throughout the whole training delivery via telephone contact and emails.

Having the apprentice’s trainer/assessor onsite creates a new opportunity for employers to become actively involved in their apprentices learning and will also provide employers opportunities to gather feedback about the progression and skills of their employees. Apprentices are trained in the workplace, one of the key benefits of this model, so they are learning on the vehicles and technology available in their workshop.

MTA NSW’s trainer/assessors combine not only years of experience in the automotive industry, they are also still currently involved in their field of expertise.

Our apprentice training does not have an enrolment period or start date; rather we commence delivery once your apprentice commences work, whether that is now, next month or any month of the year.

For further information on MTA NSW’s apprentice training program and the benefits its can provide your business please contact the Training Department at MTA NSW Ph: 02 9213 4222, Email training@mtansw.com.au or visit training.mtansw.com.au
