During the second half of 2009 MTA will be conducting a number of meetings across New South Wales. It is intended that these meetings will be an opportunity to bring regional based members up to date with a number of issues affecting the industry.
I will be attending many of these meeting to speak to you about a number of topics including franchising, dealer finance and training issues. MTA will also have employment relations department staff on hand to speak to you on unfair dismissal laws, workplace agreement options and the new national employment standards. Your Association will also bring you up-to-date on the new modern award system and the new award that will apply to the vehicle industry from 2010.
It is with pleasure that I advise you that an invitation has been extended to representatives from WorkCover to speak to you about the assistance available to you and your business through that organisation.
