| Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway is located 40 minutes from Sydney and is Australia's premier karting facility and undoubtedly one of the finest karting complexes in the world.
It was a day of rain but this did not deter the enthusiasm of teams and supporters.
Despite its simple outward appearance, a racing kart is really a complicated, hi-tech mass of metal, engine and tyres, although this didn’t seem to bother Western Motor Cycles who took the checkered flag.
The fastest lap of the day was made by MTA NSW team members Shane Beyers.
The day started with a drivers briefing, warm up then into the three hour endurance race. While the teams raced their supporters enjoyed access on the auxiliary track. The kids also got into the action with double karts, face painting and a jumping castle.
