MTA NSW as part of the Motor Traders Association of Australia (MTAA) is working in partnership with the other State and Territory Associations to survey members on the issue of skill shortages in relation to wages and the impact that can have on industry, in order to gain a national perspective on the situation.
The aim is that once the survey information is collected it will be collated and distributed to key stakeholders and Government to effect change. The survey results will enable MTAA to draw a range of conclusions and recommendations that will provide a basis to force review and action at both a national and state level.
The most recent survey conducted by MTA NSW was in relation to “wages & hourly rates”. 292 Members completed the survey and all went into the draw to win a year’s supply of MTA NSW stationary to the value of $500.00.
The winner was drawn on Friday 13th March 2009 by MTA NSW CEO James McCall with the assistance of Felicity Crombie-Brown and the lucky winner is Nicole Graham of Graham’s Mechanical Repairs in Wauchope.
Nicole was notified by telephone and commented that she was excited to have won and was happy to have completed the survey.
MTA NSW wishes to thank all Members who took the time to complete the survey.
