MTA & Capricorn Society entertained guests at the exciting Wagga Gold Cup on the 1st May. Over 80 members and guests enjoyed the thrill over racing in a prime location enjoying a three course meal and drinks.
MTA CEO James McCall and newly elected President Maurie Pinfold attended the day to meet members in the Wagga Region.
MTA had naming rights for the Open Sprint Race on Wagga Gold Cup Day. The Wagga Gold Cup is the greatest racing and social event in the Riverina Region.
Winner of the Cup was Macknuckle trained by Bernie Howlett and rode by Brendan Ward
Winner of the MTA race was Grand Rhumba trained by Nick Olive and rode by Corey Brown
MTA will have a race book advertisement in the next 24 MTC race meetings in which MTA will advertise “When buying or servicing a car – Deal with someone you can Trust”.
The MTA logo was on 800 posters distributed throughout the region and 14,000 brochures sent to MTA members, sponsors and letter box dropped to businesses and households.
The Hospitality tent was the hottest ticket in town for MTA members and guests. The Race Day Hospitality program provided the perfect environment for entertaining business clients, associates and friends. The Hospitality tent was stylish and located in a prime position at Wagga Gold Cup Race Day.
