Superannuation Information Seminars – Tamworth, Muswellbrook & Newcastle

Know your superannuation employer obligations

In October, MTA will be holding the final Superannuation Information Seminars for the year kicking off in Tamworth on the 19th, then Muswellbrook on the 20th and ending with Newcastle on the 21st.

The seminars will be focusing on employer obligations for the benefit of members and will run from 9:30am to 11:30am. MTA NSW strongly encourages all business owners and/or relevant management or office staff to attend, particularly given the shifting superannuation investment climate and the responsibility that all businesses have to adhere to changing superannuation conditions for their employees.

Who should attend?

Business owners, business managers and payroll staff will all find this seminar extremely valuable. The seminar will be aimed at those responsible for overseeing or making payments to employee’s superannuation. The seminar will empower business owners and their managers to understand the implications of superannuation and all that is involved on the business, as well as understand the superannuation options and agreements available to employees.

What will be covered?

By attending this seminar, you can expect to learn about:

  • Employer obligations regarding superannuation
What “choice of fund” means to your organisation
Contributing to superannuation (employee options and business obligations)
Legislative changes
The current investment climate.

These topics are enormously relevant in terms of your employer obligations and the practical operations involved, but will also cover essential information which is relevant to your own superannuation investment. Questions are welcome throughout the seminar and you are also invited to talk to the presenter afterwards or at another time you arrange, by phone or email.

Who will present the information?

The seminar will be presented by Andrew Gledhill, an Authorised Representatives of MTAA Superannuation Pty Ltd. Please note that the information provided will be of a general nature and applicable to ALL superannuation companies. The seminar will be focused on superannuation principles that are relevant to everyone, and the information is provided by MTAA Super as an industry service.
