Federal Election and the Motor Industry. The Australian Automotive Industry Association [AAIA] consists of MTA NSW, Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce [VACC], Tasmanian Automobile Chamber of Commerce and MTA Queensland, has made detailed submissions, on behalf of the motor industry, to each of the major political parties contesting the 2010 Federal Elections.

MTA – San Domenico Race Day at Royal Randwick and Coffs Harbour Racedays 2010
Each year MTA sponsors a race to create brand aware-ness for the Association. There is a lot of excitement to be found at horse racing tracks, besides horse racing itself, MTA is able to leverage the popularity of horse racing to actively promote the Association and its logo for consumer awareness as well as provide a fantastic corporate function for MTA members.

The Motor Traders’ Association of New South Wales (MTA) was established in 1910 and has had a big impact on the shaping of the retail motor industry in New South Wales over this time.

Motor Vehicle Industry Grants announced
2 August 2010
Fair Trading Minister Virginia Judge today announced $98,700 funding for three education and training projects for the motor vehicle industry.
“The Motor Vehicle Industry Grants Program helps maintain skilled tradespeople, improve industry standards and provide better protection for consumers.”

It’s The Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic, and this year’s gathering is set to be the best one yet.
 
VALE “Les” Leslie William Vagg
14th May 1926 – 16th August 2010. Sadly much liked and well respected industry stalwart, a long time MTA member, Governing Councillor, President (1978 – 1981) and Life Member Les Vagg passed away on 16th August 2010.
