WorkCover recently approached MTA for assistance after one of its inspectors was advised by a retail motor industry proprietor that much of the industry would not be aware of their obligation to register their compressor. South Coast Motor Dealers and Repairers on Notice
Motor vehicle dealers and repairers on the South Coast are on notice after dozens of compliance breaches were identified during a recent Fair Trading crackdown. Fair Trading Minister Virginia Judge said Fair Trading inspectors visited 80 motor vehicle dealers and repairers in Bermagui, Narooma, Moruya and Batemans Bay and discovered 55 breaches at 16 businesses.

Theft Matters
3 in 4 Australians concerned about car theft. The latest survey conducted by the National Motor Vehicle Theft Reduction Council (NMVTRC) reveals that three in four (74%) respondents were concerned about having their car stolen. Of these, 23% were very concerned. The level of concern ranged from 64% in Tasmania to 84% in the Northern Territory.
